Finding cheap flights on Google is now easier

Ana sayfa / News

Great news for travel planners from the tech giant. The company is launching a brand new feature to ease the budgets of Google Flights users searching for cheap flights. You’ll no longer need to conduct complex searches to find the lowest-priced flights.

A new tab called “Cheapest” is being added to Google Flights. This feature will present users with much lower-priced options than standard search results. However, this price advantage comes with some trade-offs.

In standard searches, the system presents the best results by considering a balance between price and comfort. The new tab focuses entirely on price. This means options like longer layovers or self-service transfers will be included in this list.

This new feature is particularly appealing to travelers on a budget. The system will also display flights that require landing at different airports or combining flights with different airlines. This allows users to save significant money by sacrificing some comfort.

For example, a ticket purchased from two different airlines with a long layover instead of a direct flight could be significantly cheaper. Google will automatically generate these “creative” routes and present them to the user.

The company announced that it will gradually roll out this update over the next two weeks. The feature will be available to all users worldwide. Travelers, especially during the holiday season, will be able to easily discover the most affordable routes with this tab.
